Flexible and compact layout
The adjustable touch control panel allows the operator to be positioned anywhere around the patient because the control panel can be rotated in different directions. The KR-1 can be installed in a conventional installation, against a wall or even in a corner of a room. The compact housing allows the operator to easily support the patient from different positions during the measurement, even when it is necessary to open the patient’s eye lid. These unique aspects will contribute to space saving and flexibility of location in your eye examination room.
Reliable and fast measurement
Thanks to the exclusive Topcon Rotary Prism technology, the KR-1 automatic keratorefractometer provides unsurpassed accuracy and reliability. This technology provides reproducible results. Objective measurement of both eyes is performed quickly and comfortably for the patient. KR-1 can measure patients with a pupil as small as Ø2 mm
Measurement of peripheral corneal keratometer
The Topcon KR-1 allows the operator to perform peripheral KRT measurements of the radius of curvature of the cornea, in addition to measurements of the inner ring of the KRT, which is useful in assessing the cornea when installing a contact lens.
Compact ergonomic design
The new ergonomic design of the KR-1 provides a more comfortable position for the patient with a 5° tilt of the patient’s head and the KR-1 optical head. The KR-1’s compact body and improved chin support design make it easier to access patients. The operator will interact better with the patient.
Connectivity The KR-1 can be connected directly to other devices, such as the Topcon CV-5000 automatic foropter. The KR-1 can be integrated into Topcon Imaging software and databases: IMA GEnet i-base. This software provides easy and fast access to patient data and is a useful tool for maintaining contact with clients
Topcon KR-1 is a revolutionary auto-kerato-refractometer. The rotary and rotating touch screen allows the operator to use the KR-1 with one touch at different angles, providing the best interaction with the patient. The Topcon KR-1 measures the values of the peripheral keratometer at a diameter of 6 mm. The KR-1 can be used in several installations that use a minimum of working space.
Automatic one-touch control
The KR-1 is fully controlled via an 8.5-inch wide touchscreen. Just touch the center of the pupil on the LCD screen to start measuring both eyes. The device automatically receives objective refraction data of the right and left eyes. The KR-1 automatic keratorefractometer can automatically detect abnormal eye conditions, such as cataracts. The device switches to “cataract mode” and continues measuring. The device contains a cataract button if you want to start measuring in cataract mode from the beginning. If necessary, the KR-1 can also be installed in manual mode. Manual mode is used only for focusing. Movement up/down and left/right will remain automatic.
