Binocular Refraction System Topcon Chronos

Manufacturer: Topcon, Japan

Description:
Chronos is an automated binocular refraction system that consolidates binocular autorefraction, keratometry, subjective refraction and visual acuity testing into a single compact instrument. It runs SightPilot guided refraction software, which steps the operator through the whole exam based on patient responses, so upfront refraction and acuity testing can be delegated to a technician. Optional SightPilot NAVi provides fully automated, patient-prompted refraction while retaining physician oversight.

Application:
A complete pre-exam and refraction station, replacing a separate autorefractor/keratometer, phoropter, chart projector and refraction lane. It supports spectacle and contact lens refraction, binocular balance and prism testing, and near/intermediate vision assessment.
